Whether you use Proximity Mines, grenades or your newfound Grenade Launcher is up to you, but rest assured that once it's flipped over, a half-dozen shots or so from your well-upgraded M3 shotgun will do it in frighteningly quick. Otherwise, employ similar tactics here as you did when you battled it earlier to get the creature to flip over. So, if you're weak, run away and avoid the fight completely. And unfortunately, it's the only place to get it. If you don't follow through and kill him all the way (and instead attempt an escape), expect to miss this treasure. Believe it or not, a similar technique should be employed here, and you'll want to stick to this technique so you can get the extremely rare gem from this foe once he's killed. Remember this guy? You laid waste to him earlier in the game, or so you thought.

But when you back away from the statue, you'll have your hands full with a quick boss fight. This statue, bright with a red hue, will again necessitate both partners, and it will once again reveal another treasure (a Ruby (Oval)) once the pulleys are employed. A Ruby (Pear) and Sapphire (Pear) can be acquired in this way. Since they've gone into the wall like every other statue here, there are two treasures to be found before proceeding. Before you do this, however, be sure to examine the recesses of both statues earlier examined. Once you've dealt with all of those foes, clean up all of the various goods they dropped, and then head into the final area with another statue. Since they'll be on you quickly and be accompanied by ever-pesky Bui Kichwa, consider using a shotgun here to make quick work of all of your enemies (though you shouldn't go too crazy - shotgun ammunition is always at a premium). you'll be assaulted by a group of perhaps ten enemies of varying strengths and with various equipment. Grab the pulley on the ground floor and your partner will scamper up to the second floor to grab the other pulley automatically. The statue above you on the catwalk surrounding this area also has a pulley. Here, there's a statue with a lone pulley. Once you're satisfied you've found everything there, you can then backtrack to the area on your left. There's nothing integral to acquire here, but there are plenty of jars to smash open, where some new items can be procured. With your back facing the way you came, you can either head rightward or leftward. Now it's time to get to the last of the pulleys in the area and finally get out of dodge (damn this chapter's long, isn't it?) Head back down to the ground floor, where you'll have two areas to explore. Grab the Topaz (Square) from the gap left by the retracted statue before continuing. Once you have those, execute your move on the pulleys and watch as, once again, bridges and staircases restructure themselves yet again. But first, be sure to seek out the nearby treasure chest full of Flash Rounds for your new Grenade Launcher.

There's another statue here with a pulley system to exploit in the same way we used the other ones earlier. Take the stairs downward, and then find another new staircase, this one leading upward. A staircase will now have appeared here that leads downward. After re-traversing some already-tread areas to find any items the downed enemies might have left behind, you'll want to head rightward from the entrance into the area, and then go forward.
